Google going mobile

Google, it seems, is going mobile. And it might be onto something if what it says about a mobile web boom is true.

And it has plans to use "wi-fi on steroids" to get people across the US surfing the web using handheld devices.

It's also going mobile with its Android mobile phone operating system which is generating a bit of a buzz. Check out our cheat sheet .

But the company has also expressed concern about Microsoft's bid for Yahoo!, suggesting it could harm the free flow of information on the internet.
